Great Work Out
Posted on 07/13/10 by Administrator“My wife and I dropped in to study with Mr. Pete’s great group at Sevier Heights on the 12th. I haven’t had such a good workout in class ! Too busy teaching and worries of other people distract me participating in the drills. I often enjoy shadow boxing with imaginary intent, the kicking and punching exercises across the room and back were great! Then we cranked and punched each other in pairs for the rest of the night. That school is one of our future brightest, I have great hope.
Thank you to Mr. Pete, also I was thankful to see my friend Chris Hawkins, who has given much time to teach these wonderful people at Pete’s. May I publicly say that it is also a great pleasure to talk with Jim Phillips, Jim taught me how to be kind to people when it is appropriate. These three men are part of the reason I am around. There was a great big young athlete who resembled little Todd Mills, seriously, what are you feeding that young man Mr. Pete?
Pray in work out, pray out.
The reason I am writing anything at all, is this.. as I was told to expect, after the Creed and before prayer we had a short bible study. I was fed, thank you for your heart felt testimony. You folks know, All of you, know I love you all and that will never change – ever. If Jesus ever leaves my family, I am going withHim until He returns, God gave me breath and I will use it all for Him. It is the biggest and best part of my Karate.

Kelly’s Heroes Tournament
Posted on 05/09/10 by AdministratorHey Folks:
Congratulations to Kelly and his troups for another successful tournament. The Pete Mills Group was pretty impressive with the many students lined up for bow in from his system. They won many trophies. Big Jim Phillips won first place in Kumite and Kelvin Gentry placed second. We kind of ruled that division. The children from National Fitness and Greg McMahan’s class won several first’s. Thanks for the support. Please mark August 6 and 7 for a three day training seminar and picnic. There will be many more than just our family. We have promises of several out of town instructors and 10 different subjects being taught. If you are an instructor and want to be a part of this seminar we would be glad to have you. Just send me an email (karatezfun1@comcast.net) and let me know what you would like to teach. Hope to see you then.
Family Night Pretty successful!
Posted on 03/26/10 by AdministratorCongratulations to Sensei Cofer on his planning for the family night this month. Some were not able to make it, but maybe they can be there next time. I even enjoyed Free Sparring a couple times. About 60 people were there. We should have a great tournament season this year. Congratulations to Brandon Baird for his fighting last Saturday in Athens. Anyone interested in fighting on the “Pete Mills Tournament Team” Should contact Sensei Jim Phillips.

Congratulations to Devan and Shane
Posted on 02/28/10 by AdministratorCongratulations to Devan and Shane as they both won their cage fights Saturday night. I understand Shane won with an arm bar and Devan won with an ankle hook. Sounds like some good technique.
