Christain Karate Tournament
Hey folks:
Saturday was a good day for me. I enjoyed the fellowship of so many folks: Cas Cox,Keith Coffer, Gregg McMahan Jerry Lewis (Wow, what a tonfa kata), Brandon Ward, Doyle Seiber and Mike and Carol Swaggerty. Also of course all of our Pete Mills karate family that competed. I left early so I don’t know how everyone finished. I do know that congratulations to Ian Dickerson is in order and Dawnya Breeding both with many fights and 1st place trophies.

Hi folks! It was a long day and everybody there helped judge. That helped them alot, and I believe the Christian Martial Arts leader is going to mail me a membership form. Great group and no cost, not Isshinryu, but good to learn new things. There was an old fellow from Kentucky named Mike, and some little fellow both brave enough to step in and fight Doyle and Brandon for the Geezers trophys. Now old Mike was pretty good, (East West of Kentucky). It was fun waching Doyle and Brandon play for the finals. Then a much needed dinner in the mountains, yes a great day! I think I will add a Christian Martial arts patch to my collection. Of course I had to get the tee shirt, it is all about the tee shirt you know!

Keith,
thank you for your friendship. It was great seeing Mr. Mills, Gregg, and you at the event. It was also good to see that Gregg had Jerry’s back at the event. Jerry did have some bad calls and Gregg was right their being the 1st to defend his Isshinryu Brother. Brandon won his 3rd or 4th Grand Championship this year. If he got to work out more than 1 or 2 days a month, I might feel sorry for him. between Jerry, Brandon and myself we took home 2 1st places, 2nd places 1 3rd place and the Grand Championship. 6 trophies for 3 guys. Sadly we could have had 7 But Jerry had to leave before he got to spar. we could have had 9 if Brandon had competed in kata and weapons as well. Family nights and good karateka make a difference. Thank you guys for being part of our circle of friends. All my best Doyle Seiber
