Training with the Gracies and Michael Depasqualley
We are headed to train with the Gracies, Depasqualley, Bill Wallace and Joe Lewis. It doesn’t get any better than this!

Sounds promising, but I’m gonna have to sit this one out. I had another ACL reconstruction(blew my old graft…this will be my third), and microfracture surgery. Twenty microfractures, which is a ton. They normally do between three and five. Sadly, it’ll be about a year before I can even spar for real again. As the marrow leaks out of the microfractures, it forms clots inside the joint that become articular cartiledge in time…if allowed to heal. It’s very fragile, and very easy to damage. Since I have no desire to endure this surgery and recovery again, I’m actually going to listen to my surgeon and take it easy for a while, although it is just killing me. My wife is picking up sparring nicely, and I hope to see her on the Pete Mills team very soon. Just thought I’d update everyone on what happened to me, and why I’m on the sidelines. I’ll be sure to attend the upcoming tournament, but it’ll just be as a spectator and a judge, as there is no way I can participate in any meaningful way without jeapordizing all the work I’ve had done. Sigh. I look forward to seeing you all at the tournament and next family night, just not as a participant.
